My story:
March of 2020 my husband left his job. I was told that I would have to teach virtually because schools were being closed due to the pandemic. I cried huge tears. We were finally ahead of the game and able to put money in savings. I just knew that was over. My husband decided to go back to school to become a home inspector. He also was spending the weeks at his sister's helping rebuild his parents home that burned down the November before. Fast forward to June 2020. Our savings was dwindling rapidly as we were surviving on my teacher pay and what we had in savings as a buffer. A friend and former parent of one of my students reached out to see if I needed any Scentsy products. I turned her down explaining our families current situation. She then asked me to host a party, so I did. Scentsy used to be just wax and warmers but now there were so many product categories and the quality of the product didn't disappoint. My party earned a free sales kit. She said try it and if it doesn't work then there's no hard feelings. That summer, I had a few parties and was able to keep a little more groceries on the table without digging into savings 💕. I kept at it when school started back. I met new people and people were reaching out to me to buy Scentsy. Fast forward to January... My husband obtained state and national certification as a home inspector and started trying to start his own company but the competition was big so he went to work for a local inspection company. June of 2021 on my one year Scentiversary I promoted to Superstar Consultant. Things were getting better until this past September 2022 when the housing market tanked due to inflated interest rates. He is now today back in school to drive a big rig and we are once again surviving on my teacher pay and what I make as a Scentsy consultant. Update: 4/22/24 Things are getting better and better.
